OKURUKURU is easily located at 738 Surf Highway 45, Omata – just off the main highway between New Plymouth and Oakura. The driveway leads down to a panoramic view of the coastline. Just ten minutes drive from central New Plymouth city the Restaurant, Function Centre and Winery commands a magnificent view of the Tasman Sea, overlooking the vineyard.
THE RESTAURANT
Okurukuru Restaurant is open six days a week, Tuesday & Wednesday 11am - 5pm, Thursday - Saturday from 11am 'til late and Sunday 10am-5pm, however the restaurant is available for private hire Monday – Sunday for weddings and functions. We also offer discounted rates for mid week and winter functions.

The licensed restaurant caters for à la carte dining with patrons able to take in the coastal scenery. Okurukuru offers dining on two levels, both of which are available for private hire to suit your requirements. The restaurant can seat up to 126 guests, combined with Mezzanine floor, which can seat up to a further 72 guests.
THE FUNCTION CENTRE – Tasman and Barrel Room’s
The Tasman Room offers natural light, with a private out-door courtyard overlooking the Tasman Sea. With its own external entrance, and lower level car park for ease of access, the Tasman Room can comfortably seat up to 100 guests.
The Barrel Room offers a natural rustic setting, with the ability to connect to the adjacent Tasman Room, to further adapt to your wedding requirements. Guests can be seated in either room, with the additional space being able to be utilised for an entertainment or dance floor area. The Barrel Room can seat up to 120 guests.
OUR MENU
Our Head Chef Troyden Waters, presents a fantastic repertoire of culinary experience, as you will see from suggested menus which are attached for your reference. However there is no limit should you wish to have a specific menu created for you or have a special dish that you would like included.
Special dietary requirements are catered to with flair and expertise by prior arrangement.

Okurukuru Café Ltd aims to provide a personalised service, both prior, during and after your event, catering for your private function requirements – we are open to discussion and suggestions as to how we can assist you in making your event as memorable and successful as possible.
ACCOMMODATION
The Chalet accommodation offers two self contained one bedroom units, nestled amongst the lower vines and overlooking the coast and Tasman Sea. These modern and contemporary units are spacious, and situated on two levels, allowing plenty of space, peace and quiet.
Perfect for weddings; the close proximity to the restaurant means that it is ideal for wedding parties to get ready on site before your ceremony, and for after the reception. With the possibility of your personal appointments coming on site to you on your special day will make it less stressful, and allow you to sit back relax, and have everything taken care of.
The Bridal Suite, available at $200 per night for 2 guests, or our second suite can also be booked from $225 for family or friends, and includes a continental breakfast.
Honeymoon Packages
Relaxation and exhilaration in style without all the tiring travel! Extend your special day by choosing Our Honeymoon Package. 3 Nights accommodation in our spacious on-site chalets including in-room continental breakfast, complimentary early check-in and check-out, a 60 minute helicopter ride including picnic lunch on day 2, a Wine Tasting & Cheeseboard , a massage in your chalet from our visiting naturopath on day 3, and 3 Course Dinner in our restaurant on nights 2 & 3. Total package: $2195
Pamper packages for the bridal party can also be arranged – why not stay in the chalets the night before and pamper yourselves before the big day?
WEDDING PACKAGES
Our packages are designed to incorporate all you envisage to make your wedding day memorable and everything you and your guests will need. We endeavour to be as flexible as possible, so should you have any special requests, please advise your wedding co-ordinator.
Set in our picturesque gardens, with your choice of several locations, we ensure that your ceremony is set up perfectly to ensure this important service is everything you dreamed of. Ceremonies can take place at Okurukuru anytime from 4pm during daylight saving, or after 3pm during winter months.
We can organise or recommend florists, marriage celebrants, photographers, cake makers, music and video makers.
